Work is continuing, with Council, who have supplied most of the piping and fittings, on the main Park in Uitsig.
The pipe work has been installed and tested on most of the park and the Uitsig Road end is now operated most weeks in accordance with council guidelines. The change in the condition of the grass is noticeable.
The Uitsig end is operated by three bore holes installed by council which are not dependent on the mains water supply. The waterway end of the park relies on mains water pressure which recently has not been of sufficient pressure to operate the system. Discussions are ongoing with council to provide a stable suitable pressure for the whole of the Marina water supplies. It may be necessary, to relieve the requirement on the mains water supply, to work with council to install more bore holes.
A pipe system is nearly complete on an area near the canal in Red Roman and should be functioning soon using nearby resident's bore holes. Many thanks for their help.
The area beside the Marina Moorings entrance will be completely reinstalled using equipment made available by council, and it is hoped that this will be complete and functional in time for next year's dry season.
Thank you to all who have helped, offered advice and offered to help in the future, to keep this area green. A special thanks to the two young people who on their own, with no prompting, came over and thanked the people installing the pipes for the work they were doing.
